This kit has all 10 of the correct, better quality, long-life replacement light bulbs used in the face of the AM FM CD, and the AM FM cassette (Auto Tone) radios from various model Chevrolet cars and trucks, from 1995-2005, including Lumina, Camaro, Monte Carlo, Malibu, Silverado, Suburban, W/T, Yukon, Tahoe, Astro, and others.
The kit has an easy-to-use instruction manual showing you, with pictures, how to disassemble the radio, install light bulbs, and reassemble.
Soldering is required for this operation. If you are competent with a solder pencil and hand tools, this kit will literally save you over $200.00. The dealer's option for this repair is to remove the radio and send it to a factory radio service center. The service center will "rebuild" the radio, which includes changing the lights, then ship it back to the dealer so they can re-install it. Typical charges are: $75.00 to the dealer. $175.00 to the service center. $250.00 total. You explain to the dealer, "I don't need the radio rebuilt...I only need the lights fixed". "Sorry" he says, "That is the only option." Tell the dealer, "no thanks". That's not the only option anymore!
